Welcome back to my blog and the first Q&A with AQ 👑 (Adulting Queen).
Basically, I just call up my friends and tell them to ask me 5 random questions, then voila you get a blog post and fun facts about me!
Sophia and I met in middle school. People would always think we were sisters and sometimes teachers confused us for each other. Now we've been friends for around 15 years which is crazy to say!
Let’s see what random things Sophia asked....
If you were to move to any country outside of the United States, where would you move and why?
AQ- Canada! It's similar to the US in some ways but better. The 3 times I've been I loved it. It reminds me of home but way cleaner. It's also not difficult to travel to and from.
Sophia- I would move to Canada. I have family members in Canada and when I go to visit, it’s always such a relaxing vibe. Even when I don’t visit family and I just go there it is so relaxing and not as fast paced. I have also spoken to people that work in Canada and it is not as much pressure as in the States. They cater to mental and physical health. That’s extremely important when looking to relocate.
Do you want to have children one day? 👶🏽👧🏾
AQ- I'm indifferent. I didn't want to when I was younger and now I'm not sure. Mainly because the world is a literal mess and kids are expensive. I like living on my terms and you can't do that with a child. I have a lot I want to do with my life.
Sophia- Yes, I want 3 children. I want to have 2 children and I want to adopt 1 child from either Haiti or Africa.
What is your go to dish when you have to make dinner?
AQ- Something with ground meat, rice and veggies. I can make the cuisine whatever I want it to be whether that's asian, spanish, thai, etc. I also love air fryer wings. 🍗
Sophia- I have two dishes that I always make that are quick and easy after a long day at work. The first dish is Honey Soy Garlic Salmon with yellow rice and broccoli! The second dish is baked veggie shrimp tacos with a side of yellow rice.
What's your favorite holiday and why?
AQ- Probably Thanksgiving. There's always good memories around that holiday, spending it with my family in Virginia and New York. Also, all the food! 😋
Sophia- My favorite holiday is Christmas because it reminds me of my late mother. It was the holiday that we spent the most time together and did things together such as setting up the tree, decorating the house, buying presents, making different dinners, watching holiday movies, going to different church services and just enjoying each other’s company. Since she has been gone I have kept up the traditions with my grandma and we speak of my mom while we do these fun things.
What would be the theme song of your life? 🎵🎶
AQ- I Was Here by Beyonce - I aim to leave a positive impact on people and inspire them in some way. "The hearts that I've touched will be the proof that I leave. That I made a difference, and this world will see. I was here"
Sophia- Rise Up by Andra Day - I have been through a lot in life especially taking care of my sick mother up until her death, but I continue to Rise Up everyday!
